LIFECYCLE TRUST

Unlocking potential through the power of the great outdoors.

What we do here

We believe passionately in the therapeutic effects of the great outdoors and, in particular, cycling. We understand the thrill of descending trails, the adrenaline boost from learning new skills and the simple joy of getting outside.

We also believe strongly in facilitating access to biking for those most challenged in our community and that getting them involved in cycling not only provides exhilaration but can be a fantastic catalyst for positive change.

Our forest trails include runs catering for all skill levels, with a pump track, dual slalom and jumps in addition to the trails.  We provide a safe and discrete environment for relevant charity groups and organisations who work with kids or adults with particular challenges to use free of charge.

The trails are ideal for youths over 10 years who are reasonably confident riders but don’t necessarily have experience of riding off-road.  Groups please contact us to discuss possible access by prior arrangement.

We also run more holistic programs including a range of outdoor and personal development activities.

Our Facilities

Our custom built venue and trails are located just east of Drymen, north of Glasgow.

Trails & Skills Area

5km of trails through indigenous woodland. Predominantly blue but including red graded section, pump track, jumps, rock gardens and dual slalom.

Venue Building

Our purpose built venue on site offers a seminar space, showers, toilets and kitchen facilities.   A fantastic space where we deliver our training and workshops.

Parking & Eco Loo

We can cater for up to 12 vehicles including accessible parking and have an environmentally friendly composting toilet.

Workshop

Our fully kitted workshop allows us to keep our bike fleet in good working order and safe to ride.

Spray Booth

Another part of maintenance is keeping kit clean. After a session on the trail keep your equipment in best condition with our outdoor wash-down booth.

Picnic Benches

Why not use our covered picnic benches to have your snack after a ride.  The view is incredible and you can be protected from the rain during a shower.  We simply ask that you take your rubbish with you and recycle it when you leave.  Thanks.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER

We understand that all groups are different so contact us to work out how we can help you.

Here are the main experiences we provide.

LED RIDE SESSIONS

Our qualified MTB Leaders can offer either a one-off session or program for your group depending on your needs. In this format we provide the bikes, helmets and ride leadership.

THRILL 'N' CHILL COURSE

We offer a 2 day youth and adult wellbeing program that comprises a range of physical and mental personal development activities for those aiming to build confidence or resilience.  Activities include mountainbiking, orienteering and yoga weather depending.
