CHARITIES & SCHOOLS

It has been a privilege to have partnered with a host of fantastic schools and charities since 2017, providing enriching outdoor experiences to diverse groups of adults and youth from all walks of life.  Depending on the organisation and how it fits with our charity remit of helping those most in need, our sessions are either free of charge or heavily subsidised.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER

We understand that all groups are different so contact us to work out how we can help you.

Here are the main experiences we provide.

LED MTB SESSIONS

Our qualified MTB Leaders can offer either a one-off session or program for your group depending on your needs. In this format we provide the bikes, helmets and ride leadership.

TRAIL ACCESS ONLY

By prior arrangement, relevant registered charities or registered community groups who have their own bikes, equipment and insurance in place can come and access the trails.  The visiting group is responsible for all risk assessment and health&safety of their clients.

THRILL 'N' CHILL COURSE

We offer a 2 day youth and adult wellbeing program that comprises a range of physical and mental personal development activities for those aiming to build confidence or resilience.  Activities include mountainbiking, orienteering and yoga weather depending.

How we operate our MTB Sessions

  • Fully managed sessions - where we provide bikes, qualified mountainbike leaders and helmets and lead groups around our 4km of skills area and wooded trails.  These are generally exclusive access sessions just for your group and we can use the venue building for breaks and toilet access.   Ratios are 1:8 max of our leader to riders and all riders must sign a Rider Information Consent Form which outlines the risks involved.
  • Access only - this is where, by prior arrangement, certain registered charities, schools or registered community groups who have their own bikes, equipment and insurance in place can access the trails.  The visiting group is responsible for all risk assessment and health&safety of their clients.   Our insurance only covers for daylight hours and there would be no access to the building although we do have a very basic eco loo not far from the carpark.

Thrill 'N' Chill Course

This program aims to illuminate your strengths, break a cycle of avoidance, encourage a ‘have-a-go’ attitude and offer tools or tricks to develop confidence.

We schedule a selection of physical activities, some that are technically challenging and promote adrenaline, fitness or relaxation and intersperse these with recognised personal development exercise.

This takes place outdoors and inside our lovely venue in a relaxed, informal, constructive, upbeat, collaborative and fun environment.
